Turquoise of course!

As a Realtor in the Des Moines area, I see a lot of houses on a daily basis. One of the perks of the job are amazing finds like this baby. This beauty was discovered in the Lower Beaver neighborhood, just north of Beaverdale in Des Moines. This neighborhood was built up in the 50’s and I’m not sure this house had been changed at all since then!

What was really interesting was that both the oven and stovetop looked brand new. I’m pretty sure they sparkled! How is that possible? If this were in my house I think I’d have to work around it. Keep the turquoise appliances – just for conversation alone!

Many first time buyers are going to be frightened by the amount of work updating a kitchen like this would present. (I should mention there was carpet in the kitchen AND bathroom. Oh, and the rest of the carpet was a lovely shade of pink.) If your house is similar looking and your goal is a quick sale for top dollar - you might want to look into updating. Let me know if you need the name of a local handyman that can help.

Call me if you want a peek at this blast from the past. Or, if you’re looking for something brand spanking new – we can get that too!
