Granite Or Quartz

If you had to choose between granite or quartz, which would you choose?

Or, maybe you're wondering what the difference is?

Granite counters are mined from pure stone. The stone is sawed into slabs or made into tiles and then polished for installation. Granite shows slight, natural variations in the hue of the stone. Colors ranges from earth tones to blues, greens and roses. Granite does require a little bit of maintenance. It's supposed to be sealed at installation and then sealed periodically after (I think maybe every 3 years but check with your granite provider.)

Quartz counters are manufactured from crushed quartz that is mixed with pigment for coloration and resin as a binder. The quartz content is typically 92% to 94%.The coloration of quartz is more consistent, and it is available in a wider array of colors since they are produced with pigments added to the quartz. Quartz doesn't require any maintenance and it also doesn't stain as easy as granite.

Now that you're a stone expert 😂 which would you prefer?
