When the real estate market is a seller's market - you probably expect your house to sell very quickly, and hopefully with a LOT of offers. In fact, maybe you want to have an all out bidding war
1st Quarter Review 2016
Dated: September 11 2016
Well, 2016 is 1/4 done. Winter is gone (fingers crossed!) and Spring is in full swing (please, no more snow!). We've been pretty busy selling houses this first quarter. To date, we've sold 26 so we're right on track for our goal of 100 this year. I'd really rather not be "THAT" real estate agent and brag about every house. Instead, here's a couple fun highlights from recent sales.
By the way - if you're wondering how the market is, it's pretty crazy. Supply is low in many neighborhoods/price points and demand is high (naturally). That's resulting in multiple offers, quick decisions and high emotions. Of course, this doesn't apply to every price point and/or every area of town. But, when it does work - sellers are getting top dollar and moving quickly. If only there were more houses to sell! (Hint, hint - if you know of anyone that wants to move....let us know!)
But, let's get back to those fun stories:
Every spring real estate market is usually pretty fast paced. Even in a "down" market, or during the recession, this was true. So, it's not uncommon to have multiple offer situations this time of year. What's making it abnormal is that there are less houses to choose from than "normal". But, that's ok - it's just a season and before too long we'll all be complaining that there aren't enough buyers. Honestly, everyone WILL get the house they're meant to have (I always say that).
We've got some cool people moving to our area from out of state - a BIG welcome to them! After they get settled in, they'll have to decide if they're going to be Cyclone or Hawkeye fans. Or UNI. Or Bulldogs. (I apologize if I left any team out - it's not really my strong suit.)
We could tell a great story about every client we worked with, but that would be an obnoxiously long email. We do really enjoy getting to know so many people and helping them meet their goals. So, if you are wondering why you weren't highlighted in this email, it's most likely because I (Heather) haven't had a chance to stalk your Facebook page. Ha!
OH! Speaking of March Madness - we had THREE clients have a newborn baby in the first couple weeks of March. (That we know about, read above Facebook stalking.) Congrats to Tony & Rasna, Abe & Casey, and Kevan & Erin. All beautiful babies. I'll lose track of all the babies by the end of the year, but 3 in such a short period of time caught my eye and seemed worth a notable mention.
